Prototype 2


For my second prototype, I decided to go with a platformer again. This week the theme was corrupt vision. When I was thinking of how to make my game bad, I thought about basic platformer mechanics, such as movement and jumping. I increased the jump height in the game to an unreasonable amount, making it ridiculously easy to make jumps. Movement is one of the most vital parts of platform games, so I decided to slow down the camera following the player to make the game almost unplayable. In the theme of 'corrupt vision', I also added a button to make the game very dark and impossible to see. This button is the trigger on a gamepad, but the trigger has to be pressed down about halfway otherwise it doesn't work.
