Prototype 3 - Ben


During the second playtest I wanted players to see and feel everything wrong with the game. Out of the four people who tested my prototype three people brought up how slow the camera was moving for a platform game and two people pointed out that the jump was too high. I was glad these issues were noticed, mainly because now I know that if the movement feels off in the future playtesters will bring it up.

For the third prompt, nature, I am creating a completely different style of game. I decided to go with a tree-growing tycoon game. In this game, the player will purchase plots of land, grow trees on them, cut them down, store the felled logs, and finally sell them. I want to see how players react to an in-game computer terminal on which they will manage their finances and land. I would also like to see how players feel about the controls in the game in order to fine-tune them.
